The studio exists to support meaningful, pressure-free musical growth in a way that fits your life, interests, and goals.
This philosophy shapes everything—from how lessons are structured to how progress is measured. You won't find cookie-cutter methods here, because authentic musical development doesn't follow a single template. Instead, you'll find instruction that listens, adapts, and honours your unique journey as a musician.

Or portion thereof in 30, 45, or 60 minute lessons
Choose the lesson length that works best for your schedule, budget, and learning style. All rates are prorated accordingly.
There are no recitals, concerts, or performance expectations unless you want them. There are no preset milestones unless they serve your goals. This isn't about conforming to a system—it's about pursuing music in a way that makes sense for you.
Your musical interests and aspirations guide every lesson
Work on music that excites and motivates you
Progress looks different for everyone, and that's entirely the point
Lessons are tailored to the individual, not the system. Whether your goal is technical growth, creative expression, confidence, curiosity, or simply enjoyment, instruction adapts to support that path.
Payment is due in advance of instruction, in minimum one-month intervals
A 15% discount is offered for students who pay more than three months in advance
Lump-sum payments at 15% discount are final and not eligible for refund under any circumstances, including cancellation, scheduling changes, or discontinuation of lessons
This studio operates on a context-driven, human-first approach, not a rigid penalty system. Life happens, and flexibility matters. That said, the following principles apply to ensure fairness and respect for everyone's time:
If the instructor cancels, the lesson will be honoured through either a make-up lesson or refund, at the student's choice
If the student cancels, accommodation (make-up or credit) is at the instructor's discretion
Parents or guardians are welcome to remain present during lessons
This is a peanut allergy-friendly home
A large, friendly golden retriever lives in the home
Students are strongly encouraged to own or rent the instrument they are studying to support consistency and progress
Instructional materials and resources are provided by the instructor where possible. Procurement of resources at the expense of the instructor will be reimbursed by the student with an accompanying $5.00 fee
Plenty of on-street parking is available. Please do not use the driveway
This studio is a good fit for students who value curiosity, autonomy, and meaningful progress over external pressure.
If you want personalised instruction, flexible pacing, honest feedback, and space to explore music on your own terms—whether casually, creatively, or seriously—this studio is designed for you. It's about finding joy, building skills, and developing musicianship in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
